WHAT WE DO
Africa Ministry
Light In The World Ministries is led by Brother Stephen Cartwright, his wife Hilary Cartwright, and their team. The Cartwrights have dedicated the last 24 years of their lives running schools with the school of Christ program in order to train up a generation that leads more people to Christ. We believe that this mission is biblical and important. That is what leads us to supporting it financially. We use our resources to assist this ministry in the construction of schools, purchasing of curriculum, and supply of accommodations and food for students. Locations
Light In The World Ministries works in locations all around Africa. Some years there are more locations than others. As of this year, the locations below are the primary spots for these schools. There are multiple schools throughout the countries of Tanzania, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, and many more.
Why Schools?
At the core of our mission is the desire to share the Gospel with as many souls as we can, using resources entrusted to us. We firmly believe that one avenue for fulfilling this mission is through the implementation of Christian education programs.

By cultivating and empowering leaders who are well-versed in the teachings of the Bible and equipped to guide fellow Christians, we set in motion a ripple effect of discipleship that extends across the globe. This exponential growth of disciples of Christ fuels our dedication to fulfilling the divine command to make disciples.

Access to quality education remains a significant challenge in many regions of the continent. We hold the belief that providing a Christian education to these communities is both invaluable and imperative. About The Schools...
Our support extends to a unique category of schools in Africa, ones that transcend the conventional. These educational institutions are dedicated to the School of Christ program, curated by the esteemed Brother B.H. Clendennen. The School of Christ program places an emphasis on the interplay between prayer life and biblical truth.

Under the guidance of Brother Cartwright and his dedicated team, we forge connections between the leaders of churches across Africa and these Christian education programs. These leaders embark on immersive journeys, spending weeks absorbed in the curriculum. Through this experience, they gain profound insights into the essence of Christian leadership.

While in the program, students are provided with accommodations for meals and housing. Our program adheres to a rigorous schedule that intertwines intensive biblical study with moments of deep reflection through prayer. The ultimate objective of this education is to equip those who already serve as leaders within their congregations or aspire to do so, with the tools and knowledge to go above and beyond in their roles.
